Project Brief:

Installing the high-performance Gripset C-Bed as a rapid-setting replacement for the Tru Level EconoScreed to accurately raise and level the floor prior to heavy-duty vinyl floor installation in a busy 140m2 IGA supermarket located within Town Hall Station. Precision leveling was essential to ensure a smooth transition and seamless finish across the entire retail floor space.

The Challenge:

The Town Hall station environment presented unique operational complexities. Because the station and surrounding retail tenancies were already fully open and trading for business, the project team faced strict access restrictions, rigid time windows, and rigorous safety protocols to protect the general public, foot traffic, and sensitive surrounding finishings from dust and disruption.

The Solution:

To overcome these strict site constraints, the contractors utilized Gripset C-Bed for rapid leveling, coupled with RLA White Mastik applied as a specialized slurry primer. RLA White Mastik provides exceptional bond strength and superior adhesion properties, ensuring optimal interface bonding between the existing substrate and the new screed layer under demanding commercial traffic conditions.

Gripset C-Bed is an advanced, pre-blended, shrinkage-compensated flooring screed designed specifically for rapid turnaround projects. RLA White Mastik acts as a heavy-duty polymer-modified bonding agent and slurry primer. When mixed into a slurry consistency and brushed onto the primed substrate, it creates an aggressive mechanical and chemical bridge.
